Cube Entertainment's rookie boy group NOWZ has successfully concluded their activities for their first mini album 'IGNITION', proving their remarkable growth.
NOWZ wrapped up their official promotions for 'IGNITION' with a performance on SBS's 'The Show' on the 29th. Having won the Rookie of the Year award last year and hailed as the next big thing, NOWZ has rebranded themselves ahead of their full-fledged activities, showcasing their limitless potential with a new identity.
Their mini album 'IGNITION' captures the energy of passion and youth, expanding the group's musical spectrum through a variety of genres and performances. Notably, the album's initial sales hit 150,000 copies, nearly doubling their debut figures and marking a career high.
The pre-released track 'Fly to the Youth (Feat. YUQI from I-DLE)' gained attention with YUQI's participation in production. Its catchy whistle sound and chorus led it to top the daily new song chart on China's QQ Music, marking their first number one on a music chart.
With the title track 'EVERGLOW', they ventured into the emo rock genre, unveiling a new musical charm. The song made significant achievements, entering the top ranks of Spotify charts in Taiwan and Singapore, reaching 74th on Korea's Melon HOT100, 30th on the latest releases, and 35th on Bugs' real-time chart.
'Problem Child', another track from the album, featured a mega crew performance with over 50 dancers, earning high praise from fans both domestically and internationally. This performance climbed to 23rd and 28th on Spotify's weekly charts in Korea and Singapore, respectively, drawing a global response.
Their activities beyond broadcasting were also vibrant. NOWZ caught attention with their witty banter and visuals on the web variety show 'Hong Seok-chun's Jewel Box', and showcased their impressive live skills on 'Leemujin Service'. They also engaged with fans through various content, including KBS Cool FM's 'Lee Eun-ji's Music Plaza' and the web content 'It's Live'.
Meanwhile, NOWZ is set to meet global fans in person at the 'KCON LA 2025' M COUNTDOWN STAGE at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, USA, on August 1st (local time). They aim to solidify their presence as the next generation leaders of K-pop on a global stage.
