ASTRO member and actor Cha Eun-woo shared a special moment with fans just a day before his military enlistment.
On the 27th, Cha Eun-woo took to his YouTube channel for a live broadcast titled "I'll Be Back," where he revealed his freshly cut hair, admitting, "It feels strange every time I look in the mirror, almost surreal. Cutting my hair really made it hit home. It's probably the shortest it's been since I was two or three years old," he said, bashfully.
Having tirelessly worked across stages and screens, Cha Eun-woo kept his fans updated until the very end. He has recently wrapped up filming for the upcoming Netflix series "The Wonder Fools" and the movie "First Ride." Additionally, he is gearing up for a new album release in September.
Cha Eun-woo described his new album as "completely different from the first one. The songs are faster, and I've put a lot of effort into dancing. There's a lot of falsetto, and the music video has a vibe that fans will love," he shared. "If the first album was for a friend, this second one is for myself," he added.
He also expressed his love for his film and drama projects. "'First Ride' is a fun yet sad movie. It's a shame I can't be there for the theater premiere. 'The Wonder Fools,' being a supernatural series, will allow me to show a different side of myself," he said, raising expectations.
Before enlisting, Cha Eun-woo also had a final drink with his ASTRO bandmates. "It started with just the members and then grew to include our manager, close friends, and even MOON SUA. It was a great time," he reminisced about the cherished memories.
But what truly moved many was his last message to the fans. "Thank you for being with me through my 20s, the first act of my life. I've lived passionately and fiercely, and looking back, I'm filled with complex emotions. I'm curious and excited to see what my 30s will bring. I ask for your support once again when I return. I'll come back healthy," he said, bidding farewell.
Cha Eun-woo was accepted into the military band last May and is set to fulfill his national duty starting the 28th.
