Ha Jung-woo Apologizes for "Sexual Desire Booster" Comment Controversy: "I Will Be More Careful"

Actor Ha Jung-woo has issued an apology following controversy over an inappropriate comment he made in response to a fan's request for a nickname on social media.

On the 21st, his agency, Workhouse Company, released a statement saying, "We deeply apologize to the individual who was discomforted by our artist's social media activity. The actor has also personally reached out to the fan to apologize and discuss the matter. We promise to be more cautious and attentive in our communication with fans moving forward."

Previously, Ha Jung-woo responded to a fan, who has the surname Choi and asked for a nickname on his social media, with the comment "Aphrodisiac" (choieumje)  The term "aphrodisiac" refers to a drug that increases sexual desire, and Ha Jung-woo's comment was criticized as being inappropriate.

Following the backlash, Ha Jung-woo deleted the controversial comment, but screenshots had already spread across online communities, continuing the controversy.
