Actor Namkoong Min has expressed his feelings about the finale of the drama "Our Movie".
Namkoong Min played the role of Lee Je-ha, a film director without a future, in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Our Movie" (written by Han Ga-eun and Kang Kyung-min, directed by Lee Jung-heum), which concluded on the 19th. He showcased his nuanced and profound acting skills, serving as the pivotal axis of the narrative.
On the 21st, through his agency 935 Entertainment, Namkoong Min stated, "It was a precious time spent with wonderful people, and I learned and felt a lot while portraying Lee Je-ha. I sincerely thank the viewers who stayed with us until the end for a project made with genuine effort."
He reminisced about the last day of shooting as the most memorable moment, saying, "We shot the first and last scenes in the same location. The warm sunlight and the scenery of the ginkgo trees that day particularly stayed in my heart. I think the time spent with the director, actors, and staff will also remain in my memory for a long time."
In conclusion, he expressed his gratitude again, "Thank you to everyone who loved 'Our Movie'. I hope this work remains warmly in your hearts for a long time. I look forward to greeting you with another great project in the future," showing his affection for the work.
Namkoong Min skillfully portrayed the subtle emotional changes from the helplessness of Lee Je-ha, who is caught in a sophomore slump, to the determined stance of a director fighting to protect his film, leading to high viewer engagement. His poignant romance with Lee Da-um (played by Jeon Yeo-been) deeply moved the audience, leaving a lasting impression.
Having proven a wide range of acting skills across various genres in numerous works, Namkoong Min has once again transformed his acting through "Our Movie", achieving a graceful conclusion. His continued acting journey, leaving a gentle aftertaste with this traditional melodrama, is highly anticipated.
