Japanese superstars Kimura Takuya and Ok Taec Yeon are set to grace the screens in the Japanese film 'Grand Maison Paris', which is slated for release in South Korea this August.

'Grand Maison Paris' tells the gripping tale of Chef Obana, once dubbed the "eternal 2-star" in France's Paris, as he and his team embark on an intense journey towards the pinnacle of true fine dining. The film continues the emotional journey of the drama 'Grand Maison Tokyo', capturing the chefs' passion and teamwork as they strive for Michelin stars. Building on the previous story, it presents an even more fierce and glamorous challenge against the backdrop of Paris, the heartland of gastronomy.

With realistic portrayals of famous Parisian restaurants and local culture, and the involvement of Chef Kobayashi Kei of 'Restaurant KEI', the first Asian to earn three Michelin stars in France, the film elevates the depiction of culinary art. This collaboration promises to captivate audiences with a rich story that combines the intricate world of gourmet food with personal drama.

Upon its release in Japan, the film quickly became a box office hit, drawing in 960,000 viewers in its first week. Directed by Tsukahara Ayuko, and the screenplay was written by Kuroiwa Tsutomu, both with many hits.

The cast includes key actors from the drama 'Grand Maison Tokyo', continuing their roles and deepening the characters' development and team dynamics. Kimura Takuya leads as the genius chef 'Obana Natsuki', a man risking everything for a third Michelin star, with Kyoka Suzuki playing 'Hayami Rinko', the possessor of an absolute sense of taste, aiding Obana's comeback.

Additionally, the film welcomes Korean actor Ok Taec Yeon, bringing a fresh charm to the role of 'Rick Yu-ahn', a new patissier and dessert researcher who finds himself in debt. Ok Taec Yeon, who recently captured the hearts of domestic fans with his role in the KBS historical drama 'The First Night with the Duke' as 'Lee Beom', is expected to showcase a different side of his talent in 'Grand Maison Paris'.

The film's launch poster, revealed alongside the announcement of its release, instantly grabs attention with its bold red tones and three golden stars symbolizing the Michelin 3-star achievement. The golden dust falling from the chef's fingertips hints at the perfect dish completed with a delicate touch, foreshadowing the exquisite culinary moments the film promises to deliver.
