Actress Jang Seo-yeon has been cast in the Netflix series 'Beef' Season 2.
On the 15th, Jang Seo-yeon's agency, Content Harmony, announced, "Jang Seo-yeon will appear in the Netflix series 'Beef 2'," and requested, "Please show a lot of interest and support for actress Jang Seo-yeon, who is poised to make a significant leap on a larger stage."
'Beef' is considered one of the most successful series, having swept numerous global awards including 8 Emmys and 3 Golden Globes. Season 2 continues with A24, the production company behind 'Minari', and features director Lee Sung-jin and producer Steven Yeun.
Notably, following global stars such as Youn Yuh-jung, Song Kang-ho, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny, rising star Jang Seo-yeon also joins the stellar casting lineup.
'Beef 2' consists of 8 episodes and revolves around a young couple witnessing a fierce fight between their boss and his wife, set against the backdrop of a luxury country club owned by a Korean billionaire (played by Youn Yuh-jung).
Jang Seo-yeon will play the role of the personal interpreter for the Korean billionaire club owner (played by Youn Yuh-jung), promising to showcase a unique visual and diverse character acting.
Having made her screen debut with the movie 'Emergency Declaration', Jang Seo-yeon has continued her career with appearances in dramas such as 'Snowdrop' and 'Good Partner'. There's much anticipation for the unique charm Jang Seo-yeon will bring to international audiences through 'Beef 2'.
