'The King of Kings' is a global blockbuster that follows the journey of Charles Dickens, a renowned British author, and his youngest son Walter, as they travel back 2000 years into the greatest story ever told.
In the film, 'Charles Dickens,' the narrator of the story, is known for holding over 400 public readings in his lifetime to comfort those who were illiterate, making him a storyteller of his era.
The roles of this iconic storyteller are played by Lee Byung-hun and Kenneth Branagh, representing Korea and the United States, respectively. Lee Byung-hun, with his ability to delicately convey the nuances of emotion, and Kenneth Branagh, who understands the weight of words from classical to contemporary language, both embody the essence of a narrator.
