A stellar cast of actors from both Korea and the United States have come together for the K-animation 'The King of Kings,' boasting an incredible sync between the characters and their voice actors.

'The King of Kings' is a global blockbuster that follows the journey of Charles Dickens, a renowned British author, and his youngest son Walter, as they travel back 2000 years into the greatest story ever told.

In the film, 'Charles Dickens,' the narrator of the story, is known for holding over 400 public readings in his lifetime to comfort those who were illiterate, making him a storyteller of his era.

The roles of this iconic storyteller are played by Lee Byung-hun and Kenneth Branagh, representing Korea and the United States, respectively. Lee Byung-hun, with his ability to delicately convey the nuances of emotion, and Kenneth Branagh, who understands the weight of words from classical to contemporary language, both embody the essence of a narrator. These actors bring depth and persuasiveness to the story, transcending time, language, and emotion.

Jin Sun-kyu and Oscar Isaac take on the roles of Jesus, who practiced love from the lowest position, and Satan, a symbol of temptation and destruction. These actors showcase a wide range of acting abilities, bringing to life the duality of their characters. Jin Sun-kyu, with his extensive experience on the theater stage, and Oscar Isaac, known for conveying wounded inner worlds with sincerity, add narrative depth and emotional density to the contrasting figures of Jesus and Satan.

Lee Hanee and Uma Thurman, who play the mother 'Catherine Dickens,' chose their roles due to the resemblance they saw between the film's family and their own. They bring warmth, resilience, and a delicate perspective to their portrayal, adding depth and authenticity to the character of Catherine. Their performances deeply resonate with the sincerity and depth of 'Catherine Dickens,' enriching the film's emotional landscape.

With a perfect sync between the characters and the Korean-American actors, the global K-animation film 'The King of Kings' will be released in theaters nationwide on July 16, featuring both the Korean dubbed version with Lee Byung-hun, Jin Sun-kyu, Lee Hanee, and the subtitled version with Kenneth Branagh, Oscar Isaac, Uma Thurman.
