Lee Won-jang Cast in the Play 'My Mister,' Bringing Pathos Amid Laughter

Actor Lee Won-jang has been cast in the play "My Mister."

"My Mister" is a play that brings to the stage characters who quietly bear the weight of life. It is based on the well-known drama of the same name, which starred actors Lee Sun-kyun and IU. The play "My Mister" aims to deliver a new resonance through the live emotions and interactions of the actors, while retaining the sentiment of the drama.

Lee Won-jang will play the role of 'Park Ki-hoon,' a warm character living today with abandoned dreams. In the drama, this role was portrayed by Song Sae-byeok as the younger brother of the male lead, 'Park Dong-hoon.'

Lee Won-jang has shown a wide acting range without being confined to any specific genre or character, through his performances in the play "Jjamppong," "Visitation," and the movie "Pietà." In "My Mister," Ki-hoon is a character who, despite experiencing pain and trials in life, retains warmth and vitality. Lee Won-jang plans to portray this pathos amid laughter with his unique flair.

The play is directed by Kim Jae-yeop, who has won numerous awards including the Donga Play Award for Best Play and Best Script.

"My Mister" will be performed from August 22 to September 27, 2025, at the LG Arts Center Seoul and U+ Stage. Tickets will be available starting July 9 at 3 PM through NOL Tickets and the LG Arts Center Seoul website.
