Singer MoonOne, set to marry Koyote's Shinji, has addressed various rumors about his personal life. He admitted to some allegations and apologized, while strongly denying others.
On the 3rd, MoonOne posted a lengthy message on his social media, stating, "After the news of our marriage broke, a lot of stories came pouring out. I needed time to verify the facts and ensure my memory wasn't distorted."
Previously, MoonOne had openly discussed his divorce on Shinji's YouTube channel with Koyote's Kim Jong-min and Bbaekga, which led to criticism of some of his remarks as rude, sparking controversy. This also led to the resurfacing of past rumors about his personal life.
Regarding this, MoonOne said, "I sincerely apologize to Koyote fans and Shinji's fans who might have felt uncomfortable with my careless remarks in the video. Above all, I'm sorry for possibly hurting Shinji, who should be congratulated."
He added, "After reading comments left after radio broadcasts, I deeply realized I failed to understand many people's feelings. I also apologize to Kim Jong-min and Bbaekga for showing disrespectful behavior."
On the personal life allegations, he admitted to some truths. "It's true I engaged in real estate business without a license," he confessed. "I started it on a friend's recommendation during my unknown days, but it was clearly my mistake to work without a license. I won't make excuses and will take full responsibility."
However, he denied allegations of bullying during his school days and military service, stating, "That's absolutely not true. If necessary, I can provide objective evidence to refute these suspicions."
He also refuted claims of two-timing during his previous marriage, saying, "It's true I got married due to a premarital pregnancy with my ex-wife, but the two-timing allegations are completely baseless."
Regarding the name change rumors, he clarified, "My real name is indeed Park Sang-moon, and I only changed my stage name from Ki-ryeon to MoonOne. I have never legally changed my name. I ask that you refrain from speculative comments and spreading false information."
In conclusion, MoonOne expressed, "I apologize for any concern I may have caused. Moving forward, I will strive to be a more responsible person in my life with Shinji."
Meanwhile, Shinji and MoonOne, after two years of dating, have promised to marry and plan to hold their wedding in the first half of next year. The couple first met as host and guest on MBC Standard FM's 'Singgle Bingle Show'. Last month, they completed their wedding photoshoot in Seoul.
