Singer-songwriter Jukjae has announced his marriage. The bride-to-be is former announcer and broadcaster Hur Song-yeon, who is also the older sister of KARA group member Hur Young-ji.
On the 1st, Jukjae shared the news of his marriage through a handwritten letter on his official fan cafe, stating, "I have found someone to promise the rest of my life with." He expressed, "Meeting someone who understands and cherishes me for who I am, I've decided to spend my future life with her. Although I'm a bit nervous and scared, I would be grateful for your warm support and encouragement as I embark on this new chapter of my life."
He continued, "As always, I will continue to work hard to deliver good music and performances," indicating his intention to remain active in music after marriage.
The Fact reported that Jukjae and Hur Song-yeon have started serious wedding preparations.
According to entertainment industry insiders, the couple has been dating cautiously and recently decided to tie the knot based on deep trust and love for each other. They are actively preparing for their wedding, including going on a wedding dress tour. Jukjae's agency, Abyss Company, also officially confirmed the marriage news.
The bride-to-be, Hur Song-yeon, is a former announcer and broadcaster who graduated from Ewha Womans University's College of Music, majoring in vocal music. She debuted as an announcer for JJC Local Autonomy TV's news department in 2016 and built her career as an MC on programs like OBS's 'Happy Real Estate Laboratory' (literal title). In 2018, she gained recognition by appearing on the reality show 'Mom, I'm Here' (literal title) featuring her sister Hur Young-ji, and later solidified her position as a host by leading the mobile quiz show 'Jam Live' on her own.
Notably, through the 'Hur Sisters' YouTube channel, she and Hur Young-ji have been actively engaging with fans by presenting various content. Recently, she has also expanded her activities by appearing in gaming YouTube content.
Jukjae is preparing for a small theater concert at Mary Hall, Sogang University in Mapo-gu, Seoul, starting on August 8th.
