This fall, SBS is launching a massive audition project titled 'Our Ballad', and is now openly recruiting individuals with 'top-tier ears' from all walks of life in South Korea to participate in the recording process and help discover new stars.
'Our Ballad' aims to find the next voice that resonates with the current era, following in the footsteps of legendary artists like Lee Moon-sae and IU. This music audition show has garnered attention for its collaboration between Jung Ik-seung PD, known for producing major SBS audition and music shows that introduced talents like AKMU, Jung Seung-hwan, and Lee Hi in 'K-pop Star', and BIBI and Car, the Garden in 'The Fan', and writer Mo Eun-seol, who showcased her unique writing skills in Netflix's global hit 'Culinary Class Wars' in 2024.
With the first recording session on the horizon, 'Our Ballad' is calling for a large-scale participation of 'ballad lovers' of all ages. This is a shout-out to those who pride themselves on recognizing 'the public's choice' before anyone else. If you're a ballad lover from any neighborhood, aged 17 and above, you have the chance to join the recording session and help select the new voice of our generation.
Applications are open from June 30th (Monday) to July 13th (Sunday), and detailed application procedures can be found on the SBS official website.
This grand audition project, 'Our Ballad', is a collaboration between SBS, a pioneer in setting the standards for K-pop globally and leading the pop music scene, and SM Entertainment and SM C&C, leading companies in South Korea's cultural content and management industry.
