A 'behind-the-scenes' video featuring the cast of 'Our Movie' sharing their filming experiences has been released.
The main cast of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Our Movie' (written by Han Ga-eun and Kang Kyung-min, directed by Lee Jung-heum), including Namkoong Min (playing Lee Je-ha), Jeon Yeo-been (playing Lee Da-eum), Seo Hyun-woo (playing Bu Seung-won), and director Lee Jung-heum, shared their filming anecdotes in a behind-the-scenes video released on the 26th on SBS's official YouTube channel.
The video reveals the directorial intent behind certain scenes and the acting nuances of the cast, among other production stories from 'Our Movie'. Notably, the camcorder footage that Lee Da-eum is always seen with in the drama was actually shot by Jeon Yeo-been herself, earning her a 'camcorder filming' credit, which surprised many.
The opening scene, hinting at the time Lee Je-ha and Lee Da-eum spent together through the changing seasons of a tree, was actually filmed over the course of a year. Jeon Yeo-been expressed her admiration for the opening, saying, "The opening is so beautiful."
Especially captivating was the filming process of the rainy kiss scene between Lee Je-ha and Lee Da-eum at the end of episode 4, which significantly boosted viewers' dopamine levels. The scene was shot in cold weather, and Namkoong Min recalled, "We wore scuba diving suits," hinting at the efforts made by the actors to enhance the quality of the work.
Throughout the commentary, the actors and director Lee Jung-heum continuously praised each other, creating a warm atmosphere. Namkoong Min shared his deep impression of Jeon Yeo-been, who was fully immersed in her character's emotions during the filming of the scene where Lee Je-ha and Lee Da-eum first meet as a film director and a terminally ill consultant.
Jeon Yeo-been mentioned, "There's this cute and lovely friend who feels sad when the sun sets and grateful when it rises," revealing that she drew inspiration from a real-life friend's personality to portray Lee Da-eum.
Director Lee Jung-heum also praised Namkoong Min for perfectly capturing the emotional depth of Lee Je-ha, saying, "It was like he had a sixth sense." Despite the challenging filming conditions, Namkoong Min's ability to accurately convey Lee Je-ha's emotions stood out.
The endless praise relay for Seo Hyun-woo by the cast also brought smiles. Despite the massive amount of dialogue and fast pace, Seo Hyun-woo became everyone's favorite with his precise delivery and expressive acting. Director Lee Jung-heum was satisfied with the synergy between Namkoong Min and Seo Hyun-woo, comparing their dialogue timing to a perfectly coordinated action sequence.
Thus, 'Our Movie', lovingly crafted by director Lee Jung-heum and actors Namkoong Min, Jeon Yeo-been, and Seo Hyun-woo, will air its fifth episode on the 27th at 9:50 PM.
