Comedian Lee Kyung-kyu, 65, was booked by the police on suspicion of drug-driving, and the circumstances leading to his arrest have now been revealed. Before being caught by the police, Lee was seen staggering into traffic and causing several minor accidents while driving.

On the 26th, MBN News released CCTV footage showing Lee bumping into a parked bus in an alley in Seoul's Gangnam District around noon on the 8th. At the time, Lee reportedly said, "I took some cold medicine, and my reaction time was delayed, so I accidentally hit the back of the bus a little."

After exiting his car, Lee was seen staggering not on the sidewalk but in the roadway, causing two vehicles behind him to swerve across the center line to avoid hitting him.

Before heading to the hospital, Lee stopped at a gas station car wash. Misinterpreting an employee's gesture to reverse, he instead surged forward and crashed into a wall. After leaving the car wash, he made an illegal left turn on a road without traffic lights, crossing the center line.

After his hospital visit, Lee mistakenly went to the wrong parking lot and left the scene in a different car of the same make, parked 20 meters away from where he had originally parked his.

The Seoul Gangnam Police Station summoned Lee for questioning as a suspect in violating the Road Traffic Act from 9 PM for about 1 hour and 45 minutes on the 24th.

After the investigation, Lee stated, "I wasn't fully aware that driving under the influence of my panic disorder medication was not advisable. If the medication being taken is of such a nature, it might be best to refrain from driving. I will be more cautious in the future."
