'I Am Solo' Production Team Says, "We're Editing Out Participant Who's Arrested on Attempted Rape Charges"

The production team behind ENA and SBS Plus's 'I Am Solo' has issued a statement regarding the arrest of male contestant Mr. A on charges of sexually assaulting a woman.

The production company, Chonjang Entertainment, expressed their apologies on the 24th, stating, "We are deeply sorry for the concern we have caused our viewers who love 'I Am Solo'."

Previously, police arrested Mr. A on the 21st on charges of attempted rape of a woman in her twenties in a parking lot in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. A court issued an arrest warrant for him on the 23rd.

The production team stated, "We learned about the issuance of the arrest warrant for contestant Mr. A's criminal charges through a news report on the morning of the 24th. Recognizing the seriousness of the matter, we plan to take measures to ensure that our viewers are not discomforted by the broadcast. We will also do our utmost to edit and remove the contestant from already aired episodes."

Furthermore, "Despite our efforts to caution and guard the behavior of contestants before and after the broadcast, we deeply regret and apologize for this incident occurring. We will strictly manage the contestants to ensure they fulfill their obligations and responsibilities as outlined in their contracts, even after filming," they added.
