Actor Ryu Jun-yeol has inked an exclusive contract with United Artist Agency (UAA).
On the 25th, UAA announced, "Actor Ryu Jun-yeol has become a new member of our family. Ryu is a unique actor with exceptional acting skills and a distinct personal style. We are committed to fully supporting him to showcase his true value as an actor and soar to greater heights."
Ryu Jun-yeol left a strong impression with his role in the 2015 film 'Socialphobia' and received explosive love from the audience that winter for his role in tvN's 'Reply 1988'. His deep voice and the ability to convey a wide range of emotions in his acting were highly praised. Since then, Ryu has been actively crossing genres and showcasing his talent.
In 2017, following his role in 'The King', Ryu starred in 'A Taxi Driver', which attracted over 12.18 million viewers, earning him the title of a ten-million actor. He continued to stand out in the film industry with his roles in 'Little Forest', 'Alienoid', 'The Night Owl', and more. His most recent work in Netflix's 'Revelations' was praised for his powerful performance.
Ryu Jun-yeol swept various newcomer awards in 2017, including the Best New Actor award at the 53rd Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2023, he won the Best Actor award at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards, the Best Actor award at the 43rd Korean Film Critics Association Awards, the Best Actor award at the 43rd Golden Cinematography Awards, and the Best Actor award at the 28th Chunsa International Film Festival for his role in 'The Night Owl'.
