JU HAKNYEON, a member removed from the group THE BOYZ, has vehemently denied allegations of engaging in prostitution in Japan and has taken a stand against his agency's announcement of contract termination.
On the 20th, JU HAKNYEON stated through his social media, "I have not engaged in any illegal activities," emphasizing, "I have not left the team, nor have I agreed to the termination of my contract. The agency is trying to unfairly dismiss me by demanding 2 billion won in damages," refuting the prostitution allegations reported by some media outlets as false.
JU HAKNYEON argued that there is no reason for his contract termination, saying, "Just because I was in a private setting with a famous person, the agency unilaterally ousted me and is now talking about terminating my contract while demanding more than 2 billion won in damages. I question if this is really the attitude a management company should have towards protecting its artists."
Previously, THE BOYZ's agency, One Hundred, acknowledged reports from Japanese media that JU HAKNYEON had been drinking with a Japanese adult film star, stating, "One Hundred humbly accepts that we have been lacking in managing the personal lives and attitudes of our artists and members. We take full responsibility for this issue and deeply reflect on it," announcing JU HAKNYEON's removal from the team.
In response, JU HAKNYEON warned, "I will take all possible legal actions against certain journalists and media outlets that continue to publish malicious articles. If there is evidence of prostitution, please present it immediately," expressing his frustration, "I have silently endured, believing that the truth would come out. However, I can no longer remain silent in the face of attempts to bury someone based on unfounded allegations."
