Actor Lee Byung-hun has taken on the role of the formidable villain 'Gwima' in the Netflix animation 'KPop Demon Hunters'. Notably, he is the only actor to participate in both Korean and English dubbing, significantly broadening his reach to fans worldwide.

Lee Byung-hun's involvement in 'KPop Demon Hunters' brings to life a hybrid action musical animation set against the backdrop of globally popular K-POP girl group members who hunt demons off-stage, revealing a dual world.

This project is praised for transcending the mere globalization of 'K-Content' to showcase a trend of 'K-culturalization' of global content, with participation from Asian creators, K-POP, and Korean actors.

Lee Byung-hun's character 'Gwima', an ancient demon king, aims to absorb human souls to increase his power and dominate the world. His threat to break the seal guarded by the Hunters' family for generations adds a gripping tension and strong presence to the narrative.

Lee Byung-hun adds depth to the character's story and emotions through his voice alone. His ability to convey nuanced emotions across languages promises a closer connection with global audiences.

Previously, Lee Byung-hun voiced Charles Dickens in the North American box office hit K-animation 'King of Kings', awaiting its domestic release in July. Following 'King of Kings', his role in 'KPop Demon Hunters' is expected to showcase his diverse talents in animation dubbing.

'KPop Demon Hunters', featuring Lee Byung-hun, is released globally in over 190 countries through Netflix today (20th). Additionally, Lee Byung-hun will meet viewers again as 'The Front Man' in the upcoming 'Squid Game' Season 3, set to premiere on June 27.
