K-pop group ENHYPEN has once again proven their formidable global popularity by securing a top spot on the U.S. Billboard main album chart.
According to a chart preview article posted on the official Billboard website on the 15th (local time), ENHYPEN's sixth mini-album 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' has entered the 'Billboard 200' chart at No. 3 for the week of June 21.
With this achievement, ENHYPEN has now placed five albums in a row in the top 10 of the Billboard 200, following their third mini-album 'MANIFESTO: DAY 1', fourth mini-album 'DARK BLOOD', fifth mini-album 'ORANGE BLOOD', and second full album 'ROMANCE: UNTOLD'. This marks the group's eighth time charting.
ENHYPEN has demonstrated their status as a top-tier K-pop group with 'DESIRE: UNLEASH'. The album surpassed initial sales of 2.14 million copies in its first week, making it the second highest-selling K-pop album released this year. Based on these impressive sales figures, 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' not only dominated Korean music charts but also topped Japan's Oricon 'Weekly Combined Album Ranking', 'Weekly Album Ranking', 'Weekly Digital Album Ranking', as well as Billboard Japan's 'Top Album Sales', 'Hot Albums', and 'Download Albums' charts.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN took home the first-place trophy on SBS's 'Inkigayo' on the 15th with their title track 'Bad Desire (With or Without You)', achieving a triple crown in music shows. The group expressed their gratitude, saying, "Winning first place on 'Inkigayo' for the first time means a lot to us, and we're truly thankful to our fans, ENGENE. We promise to continue showing the best of ENHYPEN."
