I-DLE member YUQI has transformed into a producer for Cube Entertainment's new boy group NOWZ.
Cube Entertainment released a video on the 15th through the official I-DLE channel, showcasing YUQI's work on NOWZ's pre-release single 'Fly to the Youth (Feat. YUQI)'. In the video, YUQI acts as a supportive senior artist and producer, raising anticipation for the song's release.
YUQI discussed her approach to the song, saying, "I thought about 'What kind of song would suit NOWZ?' and 'What genre am I best at?' It was my first time writing a song for a boy group. I've always loved stories about youth, and NOWZ gave me that youthful vibe."
She added, "I wanted to gift this song to NOWZ. I wanted to tell them to 'Fly to the Youth.' It means 'We can do anything together. Be free to do whatever you want, whenever and wherever.'"
YUQI especially expressed her gratitude to NOWZ members, saying, "This is my first time gifting a song to another team, and I'm thankful for your trust. Just like the lyrics of this song, no matter what happens in life, tomorrow will be brighter, so don't be sad. I hope you can fly high."
YUQI participated in writing, composing, featuring, and producing NOWZ's 'Fly to the Youth (Feat. YUQI)', a song that encapsulates the worries and growth of youth. Along with YUQI's producing video, an online cover featuring the members arm in arm by the sea was released, hinting at NOWZ's youthful vibe.
Meanwhile, NOWZ's first mini album 'IGNITION' and its pre-release single 'Fly to the Youth (Feat. YUQI)' will be released on the 17th.
