Lim Sung-Eon's husband refutes reports of 20 billion won fraud trial... "Legal action to be taken against media reporter"

The husband of actress Lim Sung-Eon (41), Mr. Lee (55), has been reported to be on trial for embezzlement and breach of trust involving over 20 billion won. In response, he has stated that "most of these allegations are not true."

On the 26th, Mr. Lee's legal representative from Law Firm Yoo Seung stated, "The article related to the fraud allegations reported by Dispatch is mostly untrue." They added, "The content of the article has not been verified, violates current laws, and we are considering and proceeding with strong legal actions for defamation and other civil and criminal charges."

Furthermore, Mr. Lee's side has stated regarding the report, "The journalists illegally infiltrated the wedding to conduct their investigation and filming. We have already filed a complaint against the creditors and journalists on the 19th and are currently under investigation."

On the 26th, Dispatch reported that Mr. Lee, who married Lim Sung-Eon in a hotel in Gangnam, Seoul, on the 17th, has a history of being punished three times for fraud related to commercial building sales in Daejeon in 2007. Recently, he is also under investigation for allegedly embezzling around 20 billion won collected from members under the guise of a local housing cooperative project.

The media also reported that Mr. Lee was heard saying in a conversation with an acquaintance, "Do you know why I'm getting married? To avoid being arrested. Plus, Sung-Eon's family is well-off. Just wait a little longer."
