Ten years ago, high school student 'Yi Na' (Kim Da-mi), who first discovered the murder scene of her uncle, Police Chief Yoon Dong-hoon (Ji Jin-hee), loses her memory of the moment due to shock. Detective 'Han Saem' (Son Suk-ku), who was in charge of the case, suspects her as a prime suspect.
The scene of Yi Na lying above the crime scene tape exudes a unique atmosphere, while the sharp gaze of Han Saem as he takes her to the police station for questioning hints at the complex relationship of suspicion and cooperation that continues even ten years later, sparking interest in their first encounter.
Ten years later, now a profiler, Yi Na's focused expression as she reconstructs the case in her mind, along with her unique profiling method, raises expectations. Meanwhile, after receiving a puzzle piece with the same style as the one found at her uncle's murder scene, Yi Na soon discovers the site of what is presumed to be a series of murders connected to the case from ten years ago.
Han Saem expresses deep suspicion towards Yi Na, questioning, "Why were you there at that time, both ten years ago and today?" To make matters more complicated, Yi Na joins the Major Crimes Unit where Han Saem works, and the precarious chemistry between the two, now as a profiler and a detective, promises to unfold.
