BTS J-HOPE Graces the Cover of Billboard Magazine's May Issue

BTS's J-HOPE has made a solo appearance on the cover of the American 'Billboard Magazine'.

The prestigious music publication 'Billboard Magazine' unveiled its May issue cover featuring J-HOPE on its official website and social media on the 20th (local time). In this issue's photoshoot, J-HOPE exudes a relaxed and sophisticated charm, captivating fans worldwide.

Appearing on the cover of 'Billboard Magazine', a benchmark of global influence and public recognition, marks J-HOPE as the second South Korean male solo artist to do so since Psy in 2012. BTS previously illuminated the covers of the 2018 special issue and the August 2021 issue.

Billboard Magazine stated, "J-HOPE has long been recognized for his overwhelming stage presence and captivating performances, playing a pivotal role in BTS's rise to global stardom."

In an interview accompanying the photoshoot, J-HOPE expressed, "Just as I was inspired by the artists I admired in my youth, I hope my music can also be a source of positive energy for someone. I aspire to be an artist who can spread light and courage anywhere."

J-HOPE is known as a symbol of hope to fans and artists worldwide. His world tour 'HOPE ON THE STAGE' was conceived to reflect the essence of 'hope' that he embodies. J-HOPE was involved in every aspect of the tour, from stage design to choreography, costumes, and props, infusing it with authenticity. He mentioned, "I will continue to present performances that unite everyone through the power of music."

In April, J-HOPE set another milestone as the first South Korean solo artist to perform at the BMO Stadium in the United States. He reflected, "Having performed in numerous stadiums as a member of BTS, facing this challenge solo was a significant and meaningful accomplishment."

This year, J-HOPE has solidified his presence as a solo artist by charting on Billboard's Hot 100 with 'Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)' followed by 'MONA LISA'. He shared, "Both songs are accessible to the public yet represent a part of the expansive musical world I'm creating. This is just the beginning. I plan to explore more musical experiments."

Meanwhile, J-HOPE will meet fans in Taipei on the 24th and 25th for his world tour 'J-HOPE Tour 'HOPE ON THE STAGE' in Taipei'.
