The original musical 'Frida' is making its triumphant return for a third season.
Set to premiere on June 17th at the Seoul NOL Uni-Flex Theater 1, the musical 'Frida' is making its grand entrance into Daehak-ro, the heartland of small theater musicals.
After its initial debut in 2022 and a successful rerun in 2023, the musical 'Frida' has captured the hearts of audiences with its three-dimensional portrayal of the dramatic life of Mexico's legendary painter Frida Kahlo. This season, by venturing into Daehak-ro, it aims to connect more intimately with audiences and amplify the emotional impact.
The musical 'Frida' welcomes new cast members including Kim Ji-woo and Jung Yu-ji as Frida, Jang Eun-ah and Aiki as Repleha, Lee Ji-yeon as Destino, and Yu Yeon-jung as Memoria.
Veterans of the musical 'Frida' such as Kim So-hyang, Kim Hieora, Jeon Su-mi, Lee A-reum-sol, Park Sun-young, Park Si-in, and Heo Yoon-seul will return, promising to deliver a stage filled with even more passion, thanks to their deepened understanding of their characters and enhanced acting skills.
'Musical Frida' is a show musical that unfolds the last years of 'Frida Kahlo's life, who, despite a tragic accident, never lost her will to live, through the concept of a 'Last Night Show'. It captures the final moments of the passionate artist Frida Kahlo, who never gave up despite life's repeated hardships, in a unique format. The work delivers a message of passion for life and healing through her famous words, "VIVA LA VIDA!"
The show opens on June 17th and will run until September 7th at the Seoul NOL Uni-Flex Theater 1.
