The Netflix series 'Weak Hero 2' has clinched the top spot in the Global TOP 10 Series (Non-English) category.
According to Netflix's Tudum TOP 10 website, 'Weak Hero 2' garnered a viewership of 6.1 million within just three days of its release, securing its position at the pinnacle of the Global TOP 10 Series (Non-English) category.
Moreover, since its release, it has not only dominated the 'Top 10 Series in South Korea' but has also made it to the Top 10 lists in 63 countries worldwide, including Brazil, Mexico, Belgium, France, Morocco, Greece, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and New Caledonia.
Additionally, 'Weak Hero 1' has also made its mark by ranking 8th in the Global TOP 10 Series (Non-English) category, maintaining its presence in the Global TOP 10 list for five consecutive weeks after its Netflix debut.
'Weak Hero 2' tells the gripping tale of a model student, Yeon Shi-eun (played by Park Ji-hoon), who transfers to a new school carrying the trauma of not being able to protect a friend from violence. Determined not to lose another friend, he confronts even greater threats, weaving a story of desperate survival and brilliant growth. The series is based on a popular webtoon of the same name.
While Season 1 was initially released on the local OTT platform Wave in 2022, Season 2 made its global debut on Netflix, quickly gaining immense popularity from the get-go.
