Solbi has opened up about the difficult times that led her to start painting in 2012.

On the 21st, during the broadcast of Channel A's 'Best Friend Documentary - Table for Four,' Solbi invited Lee Min-woo, Brian, and Kwon Hyuk-soo to share her world of art and discuss the changes in her life.

During the show, Solbi talked about what motivated her to start painting.

She mentioned a series of hardships including false video rumors, malicious comments, family health issues, and her father's debt, reflecting on a time when she felt lost in life.

Solbi shared that during a 13-hour hike on Jirisan Mountain, she realized, "It's not time to turn my back on the world yet. I heard a voice telling me to become a source of strength for those in pain through my talent," revealing how painting helped her find the true meaning of life.

Solbi also mentioned that she uses the negative comments and external criticism as materials for her art. She shared how a malicious comment, "Can you even paint an apple?" became the starting point for one of her projects, explaining that escaping from the judgment of others has become an art form in itself.

Meanwhile, Solbi is currently holding her solo exhibition 'FLOWERS FROM HEVEN' at Space776 in Gangnam, Seoul, until May 11th. This exhibition marks the 15-year journey of Kwon Ji-an as a painter, showcasing her unique artistic language through paintings and installations. Additionally, she is set to participate in an invited exhibition in Porto, Portugal, in June.
