Disney+'s 'A Shop for Killers' has officially announced its season 2 production, unveiling an even more dazzling cast.
'A Shop for Killers' follows the survival story of 'Jian', a niece who becomes embroiled in the dangerous world of assassins due to a perilous legacy left by her uncle Jinman (played by Lee Dong-wook). Released in 2024, the series received critical acclaim globally for its solid storyline, performances, direction, and action sequences.
Season 1's beloved cast makes a grand return. Lee Dong-wook, who maximized the mystery and delivered stunning action as 'Jinman', the enigmatic uncle and former mercenary who created 'MurderHelp', and Kim Hye-jun, who portrayed 'Jian' and was adored for her spectacular growth and deep emotional range alongside her unique chemistry with Lee Dong-wook, are both returning.
Joining them are Jo Han-sun as the formidable villain and mercenary 'Veil' of 'Babylon', Geum Hae-na delivering explosive action as 'Minhye', Lee Tae-young as 'Brother', the reliable manager of 'MurderHelp', and Kim Min as 'Pasin', Jinman's mercenary colleague and Jian's Muay Thai mentor. The unresolved mysteries from season 1 and the anticipated actions of these characters in season 2 are highly awaited.
New additions to the cast for season 2 have also been revealed. Hyun Ri, a Zainichi Korean actress who has gained global recognition through her roles in the series 'Pachinko', Ryusuke Hamaguchi's film 'Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy', the Japanese TBS drama 'Eye Love You', and HBO's 'Tokyo Vice Season 2', and who won Best New Actress at the 29th Takasaki Film Festival, will appear as 'Q', the mercenary team leader of Babylon's East Asia branch.
Furthermore, Masaki Okada, who was nominated for the 94th Academy Awards and received high praise for his role in 'Drive My Car', joins as 'J', Q's younger brother and co-leader of the mercenary team. Jung Yun-ha, known for her solid performances in Disney+'s original series 'Casino', the movies 'Pamyo', 'Trunk', and 'XO, Kitty', will play 'Kusanagi', the head of Babylon's East Asia branch. With the expanded showdown between 'MurderHelp' and 'Babylon' in season 2, the new mercenaries are expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the series.
With production confirmed and filming underway, Disney+'s original series 'A Shop for Killers Season 2' is set to premiere in 2026.
