Canadian-born singer JK Kim Dong-uk (48) expressed his concerns over the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol, suggesting that "South Korea might collapse sooner than expected."

On April 4th, following the unanimous decision by the Constitutional Court to impeach President Yoon, JK Kim Dong-uk took to social media to share his thoughts. He wrote, "Whenever I saw predictions about South Korea collapsing by 2060, I thought, 'Really? No, things will change before then.' I tried to stay hopeful."

However, he continued, "Now my perspective has shifted. I believe the collapse could happen even sooner than the world anticipates," expressing a rather bleak outlook.

In another post on the same day, JK Kim Dong-uk applauded the efforts of the younger generation, saying, "I commend our 20-30s for fighting hard against the forces opposing the impeachment. Although we might be facing a more despairing reality than hopeful, we must continually question what ignites our passion and what keeps us going."

JK Kim Dong-uk has been vocal about his opposition to President Yoon's impeachment. Back in January, when the Corruption Investigation Office executed an arrest warrant for President Yoon, JK Kim Dong-wook posted a photo featuring the South Korean and American flags on social media, with the caption, "Protecting the President is protecting the nation! Who is the Corruption Investigation Office?" This post stirred controversy.
