The films 'The Match' and 'Lobby' are set to continue their box office battle into the weekend.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets on the 4th, 'The Match' attracted 46,912 viewers on the 3rd, maintaining its number one spot at the box office for nine consecutive days. The cumulative audience count stands at 924,645, and it is expected to surpass the one million mark this weekend.
'Lobby', which premiered on the 2nd, drew 22,019 viewers on its second day, holding onto the second spot. Its total audience count is 63,794. Although it hasn't overtaken 'The Match' since its opening day, it remains in second place in ticket reservations, suggesting it needs to push a bit harder to make a mark this weekend.
The off-season for theaters continues. On the 3rd, the total number of moviegoers was 119,078.
