Actor and director Ha Jung-woo has undergone an emergency appendectomy just before the press screening of his third directorial film, "Lobby."
On the 25th, Showbox, the distributor of "Lobby," announced, "Ha Jung-woo had to undergo emergency surgery for acute appendicitis while en route to fulfill his official schedule for the film."
They added, "Although Ha Jung-woo was eager to attend the event, the doctor's advice made it clear that it was not feasible. Therefore, he will be unable to participate in the press conference, stage greeting, and audience Q&A session scheduled for today."
The statement continued, "We sincerely apologize to the journalists, film industry professionals, and audience members who were looking forward to the event. All activities will proceed as planned with the other cast members, and we ask for your understanding. The 'Lobby' team wishes Ha Jung-woo a speedy recovery."
