Fans of Jung Eun-chae have stepped up to support independent films in her name.
On April 1, 2025, the Jung Eun-chae Gallery on DC Inside participated in the "Sharing Seat" sponsorship by engraving a plaque with [Actress Jung Eun-chae] on seat J11 at the Indie Space theater, showing their support for independent cinema.
The fans who contributed stated, "We are just 'foolish fans' who adore actress Jung Eun-chae, so we decided to make this donation on April Fool's Day. We want to support Indie Space, a haven for cinephiles, alongside Jung Eun-chae, who is also a cinephile. By contributing to the growth of independent films, we hope Indie Space continues to shine as a cherished venue for independent cinema." They explained the significance of their donation.
To commemorate this "Sharing Seat" donation, Indie Space has scheduled a special screening of "Nobody's Daughter Haewon" (2013) on Tuesday, April 1, at 7 PM. Jung Eun-chae, who has recently showcased her impressive acting skills in films like "Someone You Loved," "The Table," and dramas such as "Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born," "Anna," and "Pachinko," stars in this early leading role. The special screening is expected to be a meaningful experience for both past viewers and new audiences meeting Jung Eun-chae's earlier work for the first time in theaters.
Indie Space, which opened in 2007 as the first private theater dedicated to independent films in Korea, offers a variety of Korean independent films through premieres, special exhibitions, and screenings. The "Sharing Seat" sponsorship allows donors who contribute over 2 million won to have a name engraved on a seat in the Indie Space theater. Since its reopening in 2012, this form of sponsorship has been continuously supported by audiences, directors, actors, and various film organizations.
