'Buried Hearts' Park Hyung-sik, Heo Joon-ho, and Lee Hae-young are entangled in a complex web of power and desire.

SBS' Friday-Saturday drama 'Buried Hearts' (written by Lee Myung-hee, directed by Jin Chang-kyu) has captivated audiences with its explosive storyline. The episode aired on the 15th recorded nationwide ratings of 12.3% and the same in the metropolitan area, setting a new personal best. The peak rating soared to an impressive 14.1%, according to Nielsen Korea.

At the heart of 'Buried Hearts's' rising popularity are three men driven by their own desires: Seo Dong-joo (played by Park Hyung-sik), Yeom Jang-seon (played by Heo Joon-ho), and Heo Il-do (played by Lee Hae-young). As the series reaches its midpoint, these characters are set to engage in a fierce power struggle over 2 trillion won in political slush funds and the Daesan Group. What kind of desires have driven them into a ruthless chain of power and survival?

Seo Dong-joo, having narrowly escaped death several times at the hands of Yeom Jang-seon, hacks into a Swiss account containing 2 trillion won in political slush funds from Yeom Jang-seon's 'National Love Fund.' Without Seo Dong-joo, Yeom Jang-seon cannot access a single won of his hard-earned money. Armed with this leverage, Seo Dong-joo is poised to exact his revenge on Yeom Jang-seon.

But Yeom Jang-seon is not one to sit idly by. He plans to eliminate the troublesome Seo Dong-joo and set his sights on the more lucrative Daesan Group. To achieve this, Yeom Jang-seon manipulates Heo Il-do as his puppet, using the fact that Heo Il-do once shot at Seo Dong-joo as leverage. Yeom Jang-seon intends to control Heo Il-do's fate and use him to seize the Daesan Group.

Pushed to the edge, Heo Il-do begins to reveal his hidden ambitions. He demands half of the 2 trillion won from Yeom Jang-seon, threatening to kill Seo Dong-joo and render the funds inaccessible if his demands are not met. Simultaneously, Heo Il-do harbors ambitions of becoming the chairman of the Daesan Group with Yeom Jang-seon's backing. Seo Dong-joo, aware of Heo Il-do's past actions, continues to pressure him, tightening the noose around his neck.

Seo Dong-joo, Yeom Jang-seon, and Heo Il-do are all holding each other's lifelines and financial strings. Their relationship, bound by the chains of desire, will only become more tangled unless someone relinquishes their ambitions. This promises viewers intense suspense and gripping drama. Park Hyung-sik, Heo Joon-ho, and Lee Hae-young deliver powerful performances, capturing the intricate dynamics of these entangled characters. The remaining eight episodes of 'Buried Hearts' are highly anticipated.

'Buried Hearts' airs every Friday at 10 PM and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
