'Buried Hearts' has reached its midpoint.

SBS' Friday-Saturday drama 'Buried Hearts' (written by Lee Myung-hee, directed by Jin Chang-kyu) has been leading the ratings for eight consecutive episodes since its premiere. The drama's intensity has skyrocketed, especially with the start of Seo Dong-joo's (played by Park Hyung-sik) counterattack. The ratings continue to break their own records.

With a total of 16 episodes, 'Buried Hearts' has now aired up to episode 8, marking its halfway point. Here are four key points to watch for in the remaining episodes.

◆ Park Hyung-sik Recovers His Memories, Goes All-In on Revenge Against Absolute Evil Heo Joon-ho

Seo Dong-joo has survived several life-threatening situations caused by Yeom Jang-seon (played by Heo Joon-ho). However, he lost his memory, forgetting both the person who tried to kill him and the password to the account containing Yeom Jang-seon's 2 trillion won political slush fund. To recover Seo Dong-joo's memory, Yeom Jang-seon even killed Seo Dong-joo's only sister, Sister Agnes (played by Han Ji-hye). Perhaps due to this shock, Seo Dong-joo regains his memory and resolves to take revenge.

Seo Dong-joo is ready to risk everything to confront Yeom Jang-seon. His revenge is expected to electrify viewers.

◆ The Absolute Evil Heo Joon-ho, How Far Will His Evil Deeds Go?

Yeom Jang-seon is a villain who will stop at nothing, not even murder, to achieve his goals. His ultimate aim is always 'money.' The creation of the 2 trillion won political slush fund, which he claims is for the 'National Love Fund,' and the murder of Sister Agnes to recover Seo Dong-joo's memory were all driven by money.

As Seo Dong-joo's fierce counterattack looms, viewers are curious about how far Yeom Jang-seon's evil deeds will go.

◆ Park Hyung-sik vs. Heo Joon-ho vs. Lee Hae-young: A Tense Power Game Where No One Knows Who Is on Their Side

Until now, Yeom Jang-seon had been the one calling the shots, and Heo Il-do (played by Lee Hae-young) was his puppet. He even carried out Yeom Jang-seon's order to kill Seo Dong-joo. But when Seo Dong-joo returned alive, he turned his sharp blade of revenge toward both of them. Now, Heo Il-do has started to provoke Yeom Jang-seon.

The three will engage in a tense power struggle over the 2 trillion won slush fund and the even larger Daesan Group. With no clear allies, this fierce battle is expected to bring viewers a thrilling sense of tension.

◆ Who Is 'Seong-hyun'? The Mystery Surrounding Park Hyung-sik's Character

When Seo Dong-joo lost his memory, the only name he recalled was 'Seong-hyun.' When he introduced himself as 'Seong-hyun,' Daesan Group's eldest daughter Cha Deok-hee (played by Kim Jung-nan) and Secretary Gong (played by Seo Kyung-hwa) could not hide their surprise, deepening the mystery. Who is 'Seong-hyun'? Is Seo Dong-joo actually 'Seong-hyun'? If so, is there a secret about his birth? Many are curious about the storm that the name 'Seong-hyun' will bring.

With its plot twists over the past eight episodes, 'Buried Hearts' is set to deliver even more explosive storylines in the remaining episodes. Combined with the actors' outstanding performances and bold direction, 'Buried Hearts' is expected to continue its unstoppable success. The drama airs every Friday at 10 p.m. and Saturday at 9:50 p.m.
