Actor Kim Soo-hyun is set to address allegations next week that he dated the late actress Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor.
Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, announced on March 13, "We will clarify the facts and respond to baseless rumors by presenting clear evidence next week."
The agency added, "We apologize for the prolonged discomfort this is causing and ask for your understanding as it is to prevent further speculative reports."
Earlier on the 10th, Kim Sae-ron's family claimed through the YouTube channel 'Hover Lab' that Kim Soo-hyun had been in a relationship with Kim Sae-ron from 2015, when she was a minor, for six years. In response, Gold Medalist denied the allegations as "blatantly false" and stated they would pursue legal action.
However, shortly after, the YouTube channel released a photo of Kim Soo-hyun kissing Kim Sae-ron on the cheek, along with what are believed to be love letters Kim Soo-hyun sent to Kim Sae-ron in 2018 and 2019, as evidence of their dating history. This has led to growing calls for Kim Soo-hyun to make an additional statement.
