SBS' Friday-Saturday drama 'Buried Hearts' (written by Lee Myung-hee, directed by Jin Chang-kyu) has captivated viewers with its intense plot twists. In the episode aired on March 8, Seo Dong-joo (played by Park Hyung-sik) found himself in a life-threatening situation due to Yeom Jang-sun (played by Heo Jun-ho) and lost his memory. To restore Seo Dong-joo's memory, Yeom Jang-sun staged a car accident to kill Seo Dong-joo's sister right in front of him. This shocking ending led to a dramatic increase in viewership ratings, reaching 11.2%, a new record for the show according to Nielsen Korea.
What particularly stands out is the hint at the end of episode 6 that Seo Dong-joo might have regained his memory. If he truly remembers, he will not just sit back and let Yeom Jang-sun, who drove both him and his only sister, Sister Agnes (played by Han Ji-hye), to their deaths, get away with it. On March 13, the production team of 'Buried Hearts' released a sneak peek of Seo Dong-joo's transformation ahead of the 7th episode, drawing significant attention.
In the photo, Seo Dong-joo is seen entering the Daesan home in a black suit. While he had previously opted for a low-profile, comfortable style when he lost his memory, he is now back in a suit, reminiscent of his ambitious past self. His confident gaze is also striking. Standing next to Daesan Group's chairman Cha Kang-chun (played by Woo Hyun) and Heo Il-do (played by Lee Hae-young), Seo Dong-joo looks as if he is back to his former self.
Regarding this, the 'Buried Hearts' production team stated, "In tomorrow's episode 7, Seo Dong-joo will launch a full-scale counterattack. Whether he has regained his memory will continue to be a tool to pressure Yeom Jang-sun and Heo Il-do.
