Stray Kids has achieved a remarkable double win at the Japan Gold Disc Awards.
According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan on March 12, Stray Kids were named winners in the 'Music Video of the Year' and 'Best 3 Albums' categories.
Last year, Stray Kids won in the 'Best 5 Singles' category with their first Japanese album 'Social Path (feat. LiSA) / Super Bowl -Japanese ver.-'. This marks their second consecutive year and third overall win at the Japan Gold Disc Awards, showcasing their immense popularity in Japan.
The 'Music Video of the Year' award was given for their live Blu-ray 'Stray Kids 2nd World Tour "MANIAC" ENCORE in JAPAN', released in February 2024. This Blu-ray captures the live performance from their solo concert held at Kyocera Dome Osaka on February 26, 2023, as part of their world tour '"MANIAC"' Japan encore.
This live Blu-ray, their first since officially debuting in Japan, includes a rich collection of performances such as 'MANIAC', 'Thunderous', 'God's Menu', and 'Back Door', along with impromptu and encore stages, totaling about three and a half hours of live footage. Stray Kids, who performed at a Japanese dome venue for the first time, expressed their amazement during their concert, saying, "It's incredible to stand on a stage we've dreamed of since we were young. We want to keep performing for the rest of our lives," shedding tears of joy.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids are set to hold four concerts as part of their 'Stray Kids World Tour' at Shizuoka Stadium ECOPA in Japan on May 10-11 and 17-18.
