Singer HAHA revealed what made him fall for his wife, singer Byul, even before they started dating.
In a recently released video on the YouTube channel "Im Ha-ryong Show," HAHA and Byul appeared as guests.
While chatting with the host comedian Im Ha-ryong, HAHA shared that he had heard about Byul even before they started dating.
He said, "Byul was known for being a devoted daughter. Her father was in a vegetative state due to a medical accident. And she took great care of him."
Byul recalled, "Because my dad was in that condition for so long, I didn't have the mental or emotional space for anything else. I barely went out or got close to people."
HAHA added, "Yeah, at the time, Byul wasn't in a position to just go about her day smiling. No matter who she was with, she always had to leave early to go see her dad."
Byul explained, "That was a really hard time for me, and actually, HAHA was going through his own struggles during that time as well."
HAHA reflected, "I was really lost back then—I even thought about leaving the entertainment industry for good. But seeing how Byul cared for her dad and stayed so strong during what was probably one of the toughest times of her life really left a huge impression on me."
He then shared, "I even told her manager and agency CEO, 'When the time comes for me to get married, please set me up with Byul,'" making everyone laugh.
Byul's father had suffered a medical accident during an endoscopy, which left him in a vegetative state for 10 years before he passed away in October 2012.
