Tablo of Epik High has lost his phone while hiking up Gwanak Mountain. The device reportedly contains unreleased lyrics and notes.
On the 5th, Tablo posted on his social media account, "I’m looking for my iPhone 16 with a cat sticker that I lost on Gwanak Mountain." He added, "There are lyrics and notes I was working on in applications that I intentionally didn’t sync. Please forgive me for not trusting iCloud after I lost my lyrics before," revealing that he had not backed up any of his data.
Tablo also offered a reward of "500,000 won and 50 Machascones" to anyone who finds his phone. After his post, many Epik High fans commented, "Let’s hike Gwanak Mountain together," "I’ll find it for you," and "I’ll go look for it."
In response, Tablo urged fans, "Don’t go looking for it. It’s too cold. I can just rewrite the lyrics," and added, "I’ll only accept the thought from my fans. I’ve already given up and got a new one."
The lost phone is said to be a gift from Epik High's Tukutz. Upon learning about Tablo's lost phone through Epik High's YouTube channel, Tukutz humorously reacted, "Is it the 1-terabyte iPhone 16 Pro that I bought? I spent 2.2 million won on it," eliciting laughter.
Despite feeling disheartened over the loss, Tablo reflected, "Maybe this is a sign to live with less." He added, "I’ve been looking at my phone too much lately. I should do a forced digital detox and live without my phone," inspiring both laughter and tears from his fans.
