BAMBAM of K-pop boy group GOT7 discussed the rumors that he and JENNIE of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK are dating.
On January 20, the YouTube channel '1theK Originals' posted a video featuring GOT7 members checking online information about themselves.
During their internet search, GOT7 members encountered an online post about rumors tying BAMBAM and JENNIE romantically.
In September last year, romance rumors about BAMBAM and JENNIE broke as they were spotted together in Los Angeles, the United States, leaving a well-known restaurant.
The photos of JENNIE and BAMBAM together, laughing and talking to each other without hiding their faces, were quickly spread on the internet.
However, it was later revealed that their other acquaintances were also present at the get-together.
JENNIE's management agency, OA Entertainment, quickly refuted the rumors, stating that the two had a meal together as friends.
BAMBAM also denied the rumors in the video, stating, "We're not dating. What's wrong with sharing a meal? How come they always tie it to dating when two people get together?"
"I saw the pictures too and just thought you two looked friendly.", said another member, JAY B.
BAMBAM resumed, "We GOT7 members and the BLACKPINK members have known each other since we were trainees. We've been friends for quite some time. So, we might go out for a meal together sometimes."
BAMBAM also talked about when he chose KARINA of K-pop girl group aespa as his type on his YouTube show.
"I had a limited choice back then as it was a tournament. I was to keep selecting one of two possibilities until the last round. My ultimate option turned out to be KARINA.", he explained.
When asked again whether KARINA is his ideal type, BAMBAM answered, "I think it would be hard to find anyone who wouldn't agree that she's stunning."
"I've been truly appreciating your work. You really are a supernova.", BAMBAM said as he left a video message to KARINA.
Meanwhile, BAMBAM was born in 1997, and JENNIE was in 1996.
BAMBAM, who is from Thailand, is known to be close friends with another BLACKPINK member, LISA, who is also from Thailand.
