SEUNGRI, formerly of K-pop boy group BIGBANG, has been spending time in Korea and is often spotted at restaurants and pubs in Gangnam, Seoul.
According to news outlet Sports Kyunghyang on January 6, SEUNGRI has been frequently spotted at restaurants and pubs in Seoul's Gangnam district in recent days.
SEUNGRI is said to have dressed casually and been accompanied by acquaintances when out, often sitting in the corners of these establishments, where he is less visible.
An anonymous source told the news outlet, "SEUNGRI visits this particular pub about twice a week. He drinks quietly and leaves without making a scene."
In 2020, SEUNGRI was sentenced to 18 months in prison after being convicted on nine charges, including facilitating prostitution, overseas gambling, money laundering, and more.
After being released from prison in February 2023, SEUNGRI reportedly moved to Southeast Asia.
Recently, he has been seen holding meetings with foreign investors in the region.
In these meetings, he was dressed in a suit and glasses, showing noticeable weight gain.
One of the investors SEUNGRI met was Jacob Arabo, the founder of Jacob & Co., a high-end American jewelry and watch brand.
While it is unclear exactly what SEUNGRI is up to, many speculate that he is looking to start a new business in a Southeast Asian country.
