DAESUNG of K-pop boy group BIGBANG apologized to CL of girl group 2NE1 for previously stating that 2NE1 had the lowest contribution to their agency, YG Entertainment.
On December 13, CL appeared as a guest on DAESUNG's YouTube show "Zip Daesung."
During their conversation, DAESUNG brought up 2NE1's reunion concert, saying, "I was actually worried, since it had been a while since the four of you performed together. I also heard that one of you don't really show up to practice."
Taken aback by his comments, CL responded, "What are you talking about?," DAESUNG laughed and quickly clarified, "I was just joking! I heard that you all practiced every single day."
He added, "I go to the same salon as DARA, and I see her every time I go there. When I asked, 'Is your practice going well?' and she told me that she was practicing like crazy."
CL replied, "Yeah, we practiced every single day for three months. Even during Chuseok, we came out to practice."
DAESUNG then mentioned, "Oh, I also talked a lot with Minzy recently and properly apologized to her," referring to his past remarks.
Back in February, DAESUNG joined a show by the YouTube channel Psick University and commented, "The group with the lowest contribution at YG Entertainment is 2NE1," and, "The member who isn't needed in 2NE1 is Minzy."
Although DAESUNG made the remarks after being repeatedly pressed, they sparked significant backlash, prompting him to apologize on other shows afterward.
Reacting to this, CL commented, "I was so surprised that you said that! You deserve to be told off!"
DAESUNG then knelt on his chair to apologize, saying, "I'm sorry. I immediately apologized to Minzy as well."
