Singer Crush revealed that it felt like an audition when he performed a congratulatory song at the wedding of K-pop boy group BTS' member J-HOPE's older sister.
On December 11, Crush appeared as a guest on MBC's talk show "Radio Star."
During the talk, Crush shared, "I've collaborated with many artists, including ZICO, Zion.T, Taeyeon, Lee Hi, and more. IU and I also performed as guest artists at each other's concerts."
He also mentioned, "The most memorable collaboration was with J-HOPE. He's such a global superstar, so I was nervous at first, but he was incredibly kind. Even during the recording, he said he could do better and wanted to try again. I was really touched by his dedication."
He went on, "In the music video, there was a part where we danced together. I practiced the moves for a month, but J-HOPE picked it up in 30 minutes and danced perfectly. I was really impressed."
Later, when the hosts jokingly called Crush a "wedding congratulatory song machine," Crush laughed and said, "One of the most memorable wedding performances was actually at J-HOPE's older sister's wedding."
He continued, "She was a fan of mine, so I went to sing the congratulatory song. Honestly, I was already really nervous about singing a congratulatory song, but as I was getting ready, BTS saw BTS in the guest seats right in front of me. They were staring at me, which only made me more nervous. I felt like I was at an audition or something."
Crush also expressed his gratitude to J-HOPE, saying, "J-HOPE gave me a custom microphone as a thank-you gift for singing at the wedding, and I use that a lot during concerts."
The custom microphone, reportedly ordered by J-HOPE himself, is decorated with Swarovski crystals and is said to be worth around 10 million won (approximately 7,000 dollars).
