Actress Song Ji-hyo shared she never thought about leaving 'Running Man' during her 14 years on the show.
Song Ji-hyo guested on the latest episode of the YouTube show 'Jodongari' featuring entertainers Ji Suk-jin, Kim Soo-yong, and Kim Yong Man.
Song Ji-hyo discussed in their talk what it has been like to be on SBS' television show 'Running Man' for the past 14 years.
"I never thought any TV show would go on for that long. The original producers were close with me. I decided not to leave until they would, not knowing how long this show would last."
"All those producers had already left the show. But I'm so attached to the other cast members now that it feels like I should stay until the end.", Song Ji-hyo remarked.
"Based on what I know, Ji-hyo was planning to depart at some point. Actors often can be like that.", said Ji Suk-jin, another cast member of 'Running Man'.
In response, Song Ji-hyo exclaimed, "Don't try to make things up like that. I never thought about leaving!"
As Ji Suk-jin kept teasing her with his own story, Song Ji-hyo talked about what had been on her mind as her time on 'Running Man' went longer than expected.
"Frankly, I believed ten years was the longest you could be on a TV show as a fixed member. I thought people are supposed to quit a show after ten years like students graduate from school."
"After being on 'Running Man' for ten years, I prepared my heart to be told to leave. However, it didn't happen. I celebrated my 11th year and then more. That's how it has been so far. I just went with the flow.", Song Ji-hyo shared and laughed.
Ji Suk-jin remarked, "There's a family-like bond between us cast members. Let's say Ji-hyo worries about whether she should leave the show; then, everyone would gather around and talk to each other."
"We give each other advice and listen to one another. But I think Suk-jin oppa got his memory mixed up; I never had such worries.", Song Ji-hyo said, again stressing that she had not considered leaving the show.
