JINYOUNG of K-pop boy group GOT7 shared that he thinks girls do not like him much because he is not funny.
Last week, JINYOUNG guested on SBS POWER FM's radio show 'Choi Hwa-jeong's Power Time'.
During the talk when host Choi Hwa-jeong started talking about a sense of humor, JINYOUNG stated, "It's important to know yourself well, and I'm not a funny person. I totally know that."
He went on, "When I'm with the members of GOT7 though, I tend to laugh a lot, as there are many funny members. I'm actually quite talkative, but I become really quiet when I'm with them. It's because I just love listening to their talk. They're totally hilarious."
Then, JINYOUNG revealed that he likes BAMBAM and JACKSON's sense of humor the most, "BAMBAM and JACKSON are the funniest for me. Whenever BAMBAM and JACKSON speak, I look at them and think to myself, 'How are they able to speak like that?'"
He continued, "As I spent lots of time together, I did learn from them a little. But I innately don't have a sense of humor.", then laughingly added, "I don't have that particular DNA."
He resumed, "As far as I'm aware, girls like guys who are funny. Maybe that's why I'm not popular among girls. But people do tend to become close to others who are similar to them..."
With a bitter smile, JINYOUNG stated, "So... One day, someone like that will come along; someone who finds me funny. I guess...?" and laughed.
At the end of GOT7's contract with JYP Entertainment in January 2021, all seven members of the group left the agency and each joined a different one.
JINYOUNG joined an acting agency BH Entertainment, and has been building his acting career ever since.
