Korean entertainer Yu Jae Seok revealed that his biography was published without his consent.
On April 23 episode of tvN's variety show 'YOU QUIZ ON THE BLOCK', Yu Jae Seok and Cho Sae-ho ran into Lee Song-min, a 12-year-old boy who was heading home after playing soccer with his friends.
Whilst talking about his dream job, Lee Song-min asked Yu Jae Seok, "You wanted to become a comedian ever since you were little, right?"
Then, he added a few more words as if he knew every little detail of Yu Jae Seok's childhood and upbringing.
After listening to him for a while, Yu Jae Seok said, "How did you know?", then he replied, "I read it in your book."
Yu Jae Seok quickly added, "My biography... That was published regardless of my will."
But Lee Song-min continued, "The book said that you made friends with your jokes. It also mentioned that you almost quit your job after getting scolded."
However, it seems like it was a first time for Yu Jae Seok to hear about this since he looked pretty puzzled and embarrassed.
When the boy said, "I heard that you got kicked out because your jokes were not funny. So you went to a dinner and...", Yu Jae Seok cut him off and said, "No, that's not it. What happened was, I made a debut but it didn't pan out that well."
Yu Jae Seok added, "So I decided to retire and took a job at my friend's pub. That's what you were talking about, right?"
Then the boy said, "But the book said that you got kicked out."
To which he replied after a pause, "That book... That was published without my consent and
regardless of my will."
After seeing this episode, his fans commented, "His biography should be categorized as a fiction then.", "This is hilarious. Hope he reads his biography soon.", "I've never seen him so
embarrassed.", and so on.
