The precise prediction that K-pop boy group Highlight's leader Yoon Du Jun made in the past is gaining attention.
On June 11 episode of KBS' special variety show 'Ball Show Lee Young-pyo', Yoon Du Jun and his fellow cast members discussed the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
When they were on the topic about Group F in which Sweden, Mexico, Germany and South Korea belonged to, Yoon Du Jun made a remarkable prediction.
Yoon Du Jun said, "If Mexico wins over Germany during the group stage, no teams will be able to stop Mexico from going into the round of 16."
As he said, Mexico indeed beat the defending champion Germany 1-0.
He continued, "Don't take me too seriously, but I think Germany might shock us by failing to make it to the round of 16. There were times when defending champions had been eliminated in the opening stage of the tournament in the past."
On June 27, Germany was knocked out of the World Cup with a 2-0 loss to South Korea.
At that time when Yoon Du Jun said that, everyone took it as a joke, but his comments are now gaining attention after them turning out to be all true.
