K-pop boy group BTS has reportedly joined the ice bucket challenge for the ALS patients, and the group's participation in the campaign suggests its own way to spread positive influence on people.
On June 27, BTS made a post on its official social media account.
From the post, BTS said, "With our senior SEAN's invitation, we joined the ALS ice bucket challenge."
The ice bucket challenge is a campaign intended to promote an awareness of the disease ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) by filming a video of individuals dumping over a bucket of water and ice.
Instead of filming the video, BTS posted a copy of the certificate of donation to the ALS patients' organization, the Seungil Hope Foundation.
The group's donations will be used by the organization to provide support for the patients.
Previously, BTS has also been part of UNICEF's campaign 'LOVE MYSELF' for children and teens suffering from violence.
