The suspect charged with maliciously editing the photo of K-pop girl group AOA's Seol Hyun is reportedly summoned to go to court.
On June 22, Seol Hyun's management agency FNC Entertainment posted an official announcement, saying, "We took legal actions against those who posted and spread an edited photo of Seol Hyun."
It continued, "The police, therefore, investigated the case, and found two suspects. One of them have admitted that his/her action was part of the attributes of cyber smear."
Her agency added, "The suspect, as a result, is going to be sent to court for more investigations and trials. The other suspect is still going through investigations."
Previously, the company stated the photoshopped nude photo of Seol Hyun, claiming to be a photo from ZICO's lost cell phone, was not real but rapidly spread out online.
The agency highlighted that in order to prove that the fabricated photo is not real, and the ones responsible for creating the malicious photo have spread false information online, the company made decision to take strong legal action.
