K-pop boy group Wanna One members Kang Daniel and Yoon Ji Sung's management agency is taking legal action to protect the artists.
On June 18, MMO Entertainment made the official statement on the agency's social media platforms, informing about its plans to take legal action against malicious rumors.
The agency stated, "In 2017, we have taken legal action against false information and malicious comments regarding our artists (Yoon Ji Sung and Kang Daniel). We combined the evidence collected by fans as well as our own legal team, and filed a lawsuit on May 31, 2017."
The agency continued, "However, our artists and even their fans continue to be negatively affected by endless false information and malicious posts. Therefore, we hereby inform you that we plan to take additional actions against the spread of false information, defamation, and sexual harassment, so we would like to request the fans send in additional reports regarding this matter."
The statement concludes with, "We plan to take strict legal action with no leniency. We will do our best to protect our artists and will keep you updated on our progress. Once again, we appreciate everyone for continuously caring our artists. Thank you."
Meanwhile, Wanna One is scheduled to hold its world tour 'ONE: THE WORLD' in the U.S. starting this week.
