Bang Si-hyuk, the head producer of K-pop boy group BTS' agency Big Hit Entertainment, has been chosen as one of Billboard's 'International Power Players'.
On May 21 local time, Billboard announced its list of 73 'International Power Players', and producer Bang was one of the power players in the 'Recording' division.
Billboard especially highlighted Bang Si-hyuk and BTS' success in the overseas market, "Produced by Bang, BTS' Love Yourself: Her has sold over 1.6 million copies worldwide, according to BigHit, becoming the first album by a K-pop group to reach the top 10 of the Billboard 200."
It also quoted the producer's prediction that more South Korean pop acts will hit the charts soon as saying that, "There is a wealth of local artists to satisfy American music fans."
Other huge names such as Stuart Camp from Grumpy Old Management―the manager of the world's top-selling artist Ed Sheeran―topped the list as the 'Executive of the Year'.
Meanwhile, BTS has won Top Social Artist award at the '2018 Billboard Music Awards' on May 20.

The group unveiled comeback title track 'FAKE LOVE' performance for the first time during the awards ceremony.
