[SBS Star] BIGBANG SEUNGRI Helps Low-Income Family to Spend Warm Winter

K-pop behemoth group BIGBANG's youngest member SEUNGRI made a donation for the low-income family to spend warm winter.

On December 12, which is also known as SEUNGRI's birthday, Aori F&B reportedly donated 100 million won (approximately 91,580 dollars) to the non-profit organization called ChildFund Korea.

It was reported that the CEO of Aori F&B is SEUNGRI, and he donated money to help the low-income family to spend warm winter in a cold wave.

On the same day of the announcement, 30 employees and franchisers of Aori F&B and 20 employees of Korean retail store Emart volunteered to deliver coal briquettes to the family as well.

Aori F&B stands for SEUNGRI's Japanese franchise restaurant which is known for its famous Ramen noodles. After opening its first restaurant in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, it expanded to Shanghai, China. His business has been expanded to the abroad. 

It was reported that his donation money partly came from profits of successful Aori Ramen. Along with SEUNGRI's thoughtful donation, Emart also donated extra 30 million won (27,600 dollars).

It was told that their donation money will be spent toward children from the low-income family to spend warm winter. The NGO organization will provide rice, ramen as well as daily necessities for the children.

Moreover, some portion of the donation will be used for delivering coal briquettes to the families in need.

SEUNGRI revealed that he would continue to help neighbors. He said, "In commemorating the opening of Aori Ramen, I wanted to repay love that I received from my customers. I wanted to help children and neighbors who need help."
